Mitch Benjamin
Founder of Meat Mitch | World Champion Pitmaster | Entrepreneur | Author | BBQ Personality

Mitch Benjamin is the entrepreneur, championship pitmaster, and larger-than-life personality behind Meat Mitch, a Kansas City-born brand that has taken barbecue far beyond the competition circuit and into the worlds of professional sports, entertainment, national retail, and international dining.

With major championship victories at the legendary American Royal and Memphis in May World Championships, Mitch built his reputation on bold flavors and an unconventional approach to barbecue. Along the way, he cooked at Yankee Stadium for Derek Jeter's retirement celebration, appeared on ESPN's College GameDay, fed the Barstool Sports crew in New York City, and cooked alongside legendary chef Emeril Lagasse on national television.

What began as a passion for competition barbecue has evolved into a thriving consumer brand, with Meat Mitch's award-winning sauces and seasonings sold in stores around the world. His expanding restaurant portfolio includes Kansas City's celebrated Meat Mitch Barbecue and Char Bar Smoked Meats, a prominent Meat Mitch location at Kansas City International Airport, and an international presence through Rosie's Smokehouse in Paris, France.

Mitch is also the author of the best-selling cookbook BBQ Revolution and a familiar personality across television, podcasts, culinary festivals, and national media.

With an unmistakable personality, relentless creativity, and a passion for pushing boundaries, Mitch continues to prove that great barbecue is more than what's on the plate — it's a brand, a culture, and an experience.
